LinkedIn MCP Server
Give your AI assistant the context behind your LinkedIn relationships, conversations and opportunities.

Your network is more than a list of profiles
A useful LinkedIn connection comes with a story: who introduced you, what you discussed and why the relationship matters. That context can sit across a LinkedIn conversation, an email thread and a meeting note. Finding a name is only the beginning.
Cold brings relationship context together and makes it available through its MCP server. The aim is simple: let an AI assistant help you recall the right person, prepare for a conversation and understand the path to an introduction.

What is a LinkedIn MCP server?
Model Context Protocol, or MCP, is a standard for connecting an AI assistant to tools and data. A LinkedIn MCP server is a service that makes a defined set of LinkedIn-related capabilities available through that connection. What it can read or do depends on the service, your connected account and the tools you allow.
Coldโs approach centres on your relationship context. Work from the LinkedIn information and conversations available in Cold, alongside other connected sources. This is different from assuming an assistant can search every LinkedIn profile or access your entire account simply because it supports MCP.
Three useful places to start
Recall a person: ask who you spoke with about a topic, which contacts fit a role or company, or what happened in an earlier conversation. Include a time period and ask for the evidence behind the answer.
Prepare for a meeting: bring the relationship history, open questions and previous commitments into a short brief. Ask the assistant to separate facts from suggested talking points.
Find an introduction: identify who you and your team know at a company, then inspect the relationship behind that connection. A shared company or job title alone does not establish that someone can make a warm introduction.
Choose the assistant you already work with
Our Claude guide focuses on meeting preparation. The ChatGPT guide turns conversation history into a considered follow-up. Grokโs guide separates public company research from private relationship context. The Muse guide explores a daily relationship brief.
Each assistant has its own connection experience and permission controls. MCP support at the platform level does not mean every provider is listed in its directory or that every action is available in your account. Use Coldโs MCP page as the starting point for current access.
A first prompt worth trying
Try: โUse the relationship context available in Cold to find people at the company I am meeting tomorrow. Summarise how we know each person, our last meaningful interaction and any open commitment. Show the source for each point and say when information is missing.โ
A useful result names the relevant people, explains why each relationship matters and points back to the conversation or record. If it only produces generic company information, ask whether it actually used the connected Cold tools.
What to check before you connect
Confirm the LinkedIn context you need is available in Cold and that your assistant can use the connection offered to your account. Review the tools and account permissions, then start with a read-only question about a relationship you know well.
Reading context, drafting a message and sending one are separate capabilities. Do not assume support for posting, invitations, Sales Navigator, bulk messaging or account-wide scraping. The tools actually available through your connection determine what is possible.
Is this an official LinkedIn MCP server?
Cold is an independent product. This page describes LinkedIn-related workflows through Cold; it does not claim that Cold is an official LinkedIn service or that LinkedIn endorses the connection.
